Pre Show Information for BBC Radio 1's Teen Awards at OVO Arena Wembley – 19th October
The event is nearly here and we're excited to be able to welcome you to OVO Arena Wembley for the show! To help you make the most of your visit, we're sending you this e-mail to give you as much updated information about the venue as possible – see you soon!
Important Parent and guardian information
Check your tickets – It might sound obvious, but make sure you've got the right venue and the right date and don't forget your tickets. It's helpful to know which entrance you need to use and what time the concert starts – if you have any questions, check with the venue.
Help – If your child requires any assistance during the event, they should approach a steward or member of security – they will be happy to assist and will be on patrol in the venue as well as outside and on the routes from the local tube stations. We also have Customer Information points in the main foyer and on the main concourses.
Mobiles - PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR CHILD BRINGS A FULLY CHARGED MOBILE PHONE TO THE EVENT.
Times
Doors Open at 12.00pm
Show begins at 2.00pm
Show finishes at approx 5.15pm.
Please do not arrive before 11am on Sunday 19th October as the venue will not be accessible before this time.
Travel
There are a number of engineering works taking place on London Underground this weekend. Currently Wembley Central tube station will be CLOSED. Wembley Park tube station and Wembley Stadium Rail station are open. Please check the latest information at www.tfl.gov.uk before you start your journey.
Meeting Points outside the arena
The show will finish at approx 5:15pm. Parents will not be allowed to wait for their child inside the venue. If you are meeting your child on foot after the event, there will be two clearly signed meeting points outside the arena – ‘Meeting Point A’ and ‘Meeting Point B’. Please arrange with your child to meet at one of these in advance. Please find a map of the area here.
We strongly advise that you do not attempt to collect your children from directly outside the venue on ‘Engineers Way’ by car as the road will be closed. Use the designated pick up and drop off zone as shown on the map.
Lost Property
From Monday morning any lost property found in the arena will be taken to Wembley Reception desk and lost property will be held for 28 days. Please e-mail customerservices@ssearena.co.uk with your details
Event Merchandise
There will be Radio 1 Teen Awards merchandise available to purchase a from the merchandise stall located on the main concourse within the venue.
Drinks & Snack Bars
The SSE ARena, Wembley have an excellent range of snack areas on site serving a mixture of hot and cold drinks, food and snacks. Food and drink cannot be brought into the arena.
Broadcast Information
On Sunday 19th October Radio 1 will be broadcasting live from the venue between 1pm – 5:15pm, you can listen or watch live online.
You can also watch the event on BBC iPlayer for 30 days after and a special highlights show on CBBCs Friday Download on Friday 24th November.
